The tutorial's new voices
- New voices: the tutorial is voiced again with ElevenLabs. "Smoke the Dragon" plays the Crypt-Keeper and "Ricky" plays Aldric, across all 54 lines (about 9 minutes; Kokoro's was about 5). The narrator now opens with a long, rumbling "Aaaaahhhhh..." (about 3.6 s) before "A new one."
- Checked: every line is levelled to about −17 dBFS. Transcribed back, they match the script at 0.94 on average; the only misses are "Aldric" and "Parry", heard as "all trick" and "Perry".
- Pacing for longer lines: the delivery is slower and grander, so the voice-over was re-paced to suit.
- A new step's instructions now cut short a quip, a reaction or the last step's (now stale) instructions, with a quick fade, so you aren't left listening to a joke about Gerald while a skeleton swings at you.
- The story (the welcome, Aldric, the grave, the escape) is never cut; instructions wait for it.
- Aldric's last words get up to about 14 s before he falls (was about 9.5).
- Tutorial test: 42 checks, adding the step-over-quip and story-first rules and the new recordings.
